What a beautiful home with hospitality at its best! Very lovely family willing to give suggestions on places to eat and places to visit. Highly recommended and look forward to another trip, we will definitely be staying with them again.

We had the pleasure of staying at Caitlin’s Cottage this summer. The cottage is as neat as a pin, extremely spacious and clean in a beautiful location. All modern facilities available with attention to detail finishing touches. Everything that you would require was provided towels, sheets, blankets etc. A huge thank you to the hosts Sheila & Cathal, what a great couple.
Thank you both for providing us with such immaculate accommodation. We enjoyed our stay so much we decided to booked another week. Overall this is one of the best self catering houses that we have ever stayed in. Highly recommended.

We just spent a week at Caitlin’s cottage. It was our third visit. We fall in love with the cottage a little more each time we stay. It is located in a completely idyllic spot. It’s spacious and comfortable and well outfitted with everything you could possibly need. The hosts Sheila and Cathal do their outmost to enhance your stay and could not be more hospitable. The even have a couple of friendly donkeys Bill and Ben who love to be stroked and fed. A truly magical experience in all ways. I’m already looking forward to our next visit

This house was amazing, very modern in a quiet area, everything was 100%.
Will be back again.
Shelia was amazing and helped in any way she could especially when we had to find accommodation in very short notice. Highly recommended.

What a great place. From the moment you walk in the door, very inviting modern interior spotless clean with everything you could possibly need. The place was lovely and warm when we arrived. We stayed for a week for some quality time with our four young kids, which we got and more.
The kids got great use from the toys, books and dvd’s provided. Enjoyed cooking in the fabulous kitchen, playing cards by the fire and great nights sleep in the comfy beds. A lovely short walk from the back of the house to the lake, accompanied along the way by two very friendly donkeys which was very amusing for the kids. Sheila was so kind, left us a welcome hamper on arrival and told us of any activities in the area.
I would highly recommend Caitlin’s Cottage. Everything was perfect, a credit to you Sheila and Cathal, we will definitely be back very soon.

Caitlin’s cottage is a truly magical place. The setting is idyllic, quiet, peaceful, all you hear are the birds singing.
The house itself is truly modern. It has all the up to date amenities, and a huge dining room with amazing natural light. It still manages to retain the charm of a cottage, which is what makes it a truly unique experience.
This is my second stay there, and I hope to go back again and again and again. It really is a very special place to be. We enjoyed every minute

My family and I stayed here just after Christmas week. The house is perfectly layed out for family living, with all mod cons and amazing living space. Very clean and has everything you need.
We spent our days having baths watching the sun rise and set, walking to the near-by lake and general relaxing.
A beautiful house in a remote part of armagh. Sheila was very friendly and left us treats when we arrived.

We stayed in Caitlin’s cottage in Oct 2016 -it was a family weekend away and we had a brilliant time in the beautiful cottage. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a retreat away. Sheila was so helpful with restaurant recommendations and advice on what to do in the area – thanks so much Sheila and Cathal for a great weekend!

This 3 bedroom cottage will delight every guest the moment they open the front door. It is beautifully decorated yet very comfortable. An ideal location to explore Armagh and the lively surrounding towns and parks. We will recommend it to all our friends. The owners are so very helpful and even arranged dinner reservations and a taxi pickup for us. Our 3 day stay here has certainly made us want to return! Thanks Sheila and Cathal for making our first three days in Ireland truly spectacular.

A FaceBook message from a very happy guest in April 2016
We have gotten some great feedback from guests of late. Roseanne stayed in Caitlin’s Cottage self catering accommodation lately and sent us some great feedback on our FaceBook page. We are based in South Armagh, close to Belfast and Dublin and our guests have loved the facilities we provide along with the beautiful area and how close we are to great things to do for the entire family.

My husband & two young children stayed here for 3 nights in March’16. It’s in a lovely quiet setting just 3 miles from Crossmaglen. Cathal greeted us on arrival, the stove was lit and the cottage was lovely & warm. The pictures don’t do it justice, the cottage is finished to a 5* standard, with everything you could need.
During our stay we visited Tayto Park (a one hour drive) and Slieve Gullion Forest Park (20 mins away). The kids loved them both although Slieve Gullion is free & it’s in a stunning location, we would highly recommend a visit, even if you don’t have kids. Sheila was always on hand if we needed anything, a most helpful host.
If your looking for a touch of luxury in a quiet location, you couldn’t do better than Caitlin’s Cottage. We hope to be back again soon.

During the Christmas holidays we were able to spend two weeks in this beautiful house. The owner made sure we lacked nothing. There was a package of goodies and the cottage was equipped with nice Christmas decorations with a tree of course not missing. The large modern kitchen is a real luxury and equipped with all necessities. The living room is cozy, the only minus is that the seating is tight when you really makes 6 guests using this house. The three bedrooms are spacious and the beds are wonderful. The area around the cottage is well worth it and we made trips from this site to Dublin and Belfast, but also for example the Giant Causeway. Very doable. All in all highly recommended this cottage.

I found Caitlin’s Cottage by luck as I didn’t realize how close County Armagh was to our family homestead in Castleblayney, County Monaghan. What an AWESOME stroke of luck! This cottage was absolutely GORGEOUS. A tremendous remodel when you look at the photos of the original structure and Sheila did an excellent job decorating it! t was perfect for my family with 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 full baths. The washer/dryer was a plus. The kitchen is beautiful. It was so comfortable to come home, cook dinner and śit around as a family by the wood stove and enjoy a movie or read (me!) We took several day trips up to Belfast, Carrick-a-rede rope bridge, Giants Causeway and Dark Hedges. We also went up to the top of Slieve Gullion mountain. We didn’t need anything else while we were there. Sheila and Cathal have thought of EVERYTHING! Our family homestead ending up being less than 10 minutes away and our family was amazed at this beautiful cottage after observing what had stood there for many years! The lake is beautiful and the property as well. We stayed for 11 nights and SERIOUSLY considered extending our stay had they not had others coming to the cottage. We would not even CONSIDER looking for another Cottage for our next visit. In fact, we will plan OUR trip around the cottage availability! We had our daughter, 22, son, 19 and his g/f, 18 and they LOVED it as well. And my daughter is very picky! She is a fitness competitor and Sheila went out of her way to make arrangements for her to work out with a trainer in a nearby gym – our saving grace as we had to take her back and forth. As I stated in my title, we TRULY did not want to leave and can’t wait to return! I feel like we made 2 new friends instead of it being a simple business transaction as a guest/owner! Thank you again for a WONDERFUL stay! Read review here.

Thanks to Cathal and Sheila for letting us enjoy their wonderful house for a short break. We were welcomed with a lovely welcome pack on arrival by our friendly and helpful hosts . The house is a picture of modern country comfort and elegance and is located not far from Crossmaglen and Newry. There is loads to see and do in this area such as horse riding cycling walking and many parks and historic places to visit . If you are coming for a rest then you wont be disappointed as the beds are ultra comfortable. Overall one of the best self catering house we have stayed in. A nest of tables might add something to the house but that is being a bit picky. Highly recommended. Read review here.

Stayed here with my 3 kids and we all loved it. The cottage is lovely and cosy with the two log burners and the bedrooms are nice and spacious. The open plan kitchen area is a really nice size and very well presented with marble work tops and all mod cons. Overall we couldn’t fault the cottage but the location makes it even better. The lake is a couple of hundred meters away and is really beautiful.
The owners were there when we arrived and had lite the fire for us which was a nice touch. They had even put flowers and a bottle of wine out for us. They offered to help us with anything we needed and pointed out their house just up the road but after that they left us to it which was perfect for us. I have nothing negative to say about our stay and we are already planning a return visit in the summer. If you are looking for a clean and comfortable place to use as a base to explore this lovely part of the world you can’t find better than this. Read review here.
